So, you are looking for the best Thailand tourist spots to visit during your holidays? Be alarmed that Thailand is a pretty big country with literally countless tourist spots to visit while being here.
Myself I’ve been living in Thailand the past 1 and a half years till now and I’m still exploring the southern part of the country. Thailand tourist spots can be countless as I mentioned and there is a reason behind this. The local traditions and cultures slightly differ from place to place. The wildlife and the surroundings are simply magnificent when getting out-of-town. Thus you can find a beautiful scenery to relax and take a great picture almost everywhere you look at.
Here’s a business model that literally follows you when traveling around the world.
Another great thing, when visiting Thailand, is the hospitality of the local people. However you need to be warned that this hospitality can only be found outside of the big cities and crowded places. Thai families and people are very closed to others and you will need to live with them and become a part of them to experience their real hospitality and friendliness.
3 Of The Best Thailand Tourist Spots In Songkhla Province
Sleeping Buddha (Wat Phranon Laem Pho) – Thailand Tourist Spots
This thing is biiiiig! I mean something like 20-50 meters long / 5-10 meters tall and it is painted in gold color as most of the Buddha statues you will see in Thailand tourist spots. This is a picture of me standing next to the statue to give you an accurate representation of the exact size of the monument. Wouldn’t you like to have a business that follows you while traveling – making money for you? Great! Learn more here.
In Buddhism it depicts Gautama Buddha attaining final nirvana or “perfect stillness”. It also symbolizes liberation, eternal bliss, rebirth and calm joy. In Thai Buddhism, each and every weekday have a representation of Buddha doing something specific, like meditating for example. You can also find many other sculptures and representations of Buddha around this place. This monument can be found exactly on your left, right after you drive by the bridge that connects Ko Yo island with the mainland at the south-west of the Songkhla city center.
Khatichon Wittaya Museum – Thailand Tourist Spots
This museum is located near “The Institute for Southern Thai Studies” in Songkhla Province. The whole facility is a museum, which was created to reflect the way of life of southern people and it has 20 or more floors to visit. It took us about 2 hours to go through all of it while enjoying the amazing views. I suggest this as one of the best Thailand tourist spots in Southern Thailand cause of the stunning pictures and information you can get there…don’t forget to go up the 360o viewpoint.
The exhibits that are on display are unique customs, history, archaeology, and their handiwork. The museum is build on top of hill that overlooks the whole Ko Yo island with the connecting bridges from the one side and the beaches with fish rafts and fisherman’s from the others. It provides an excellent way to learn about Thailand’s southern cultural heritage, which demonstrates the wisdom of the indigenous people’s who reside there. Hat Yai Municipality Park – Thailand Tourist Spots
Hat Yai is a very big city with many things to visit in Thailand tourist spots, however very few foreigners live there cause it is very far from a beach and mostly built to accommodate the local people. This park is located at the eastern side of Hat Yai city. In Hat Yai municipality park you can find a beautiful lake where you may want to rent the boats and float around or have a simple picnic under a shady tree by the lake.
The park is full of many monument structures like the standing Buddha complex, a planetarium, the 4 face Buddha, a cable car complex to move around the hills, King Rama V statue, Kuam Im temple and the Happy Buddha. You can go around renting a Tuk Tuk or simply by using your scooter or car. Also you can find small shops that sell food and candies, and people who go there to do their regular fitness exercises. To really enjoy this place and to see all the sites in this park, you will need about half a day here.
